Be hopeful, always….

pexels-photo-330307.jpegI woke up this morning with a heart filled with a different kind of excitement! I woke up just simply hopeful, not because all is well and perfect, but because in the midst of it all, God is giving me signs of his unconditional love and presence in my life.

The scripture says: He will never leave us, nor forsake us..Deut 31:6 NKJV. It also says: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:2 ESV.  Mind you, the bible never said that life with Christ would be all rosy and sweet, but it assured us, of God’s presence through it all.

This is one of the tools that help us go through any trial and tribulation life might bring our way, the assurance that God is still in it with us. It does not come easily and many times, we yield to frustration, we blame ourselves, our loved ones and even God…

Still, find the strength to always run back to Him. Remember, when David became distressed after the crisis in Ziklag, he encouraged himself in the Lord, 1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV. The enemy’s battlefield has not changed. He will always start with your mind and anything you allow to stay in your mind for too long, will eventually get to your heart and finally become part of you, because as the bible puts it: as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.. Proverbs 23:7 KJV.

I know at times, things get so tough that no amount of encouragement can help you stay positive. Yet, keep resisting and pushing the evil thoughts away. Stay in the presence of God, immerse yourself in an atmosphere of praise and worship, and allow God to work within you and transform you.  Gradually, He will open your eyes for you to realize that your circumstances are different from what the enemy portrayed to you. God is working behind the scenes and will soon give you a reason to testify!

Don’t give up on your hopes and dreams, for soon enough they will become your reality!

May God give us the grace and the strength to remain hopeful, always…
