“Trust me…I got you, Fais moi confiance… je te tiens”

Here we go again , another month has ended and a new one has started. Yet, for so many of us, it seems time stood still weeks, months, years ago and it’s refusing to move.

Our children may still be in harm’s way, our finances may still look very troubling, our marriages and businesses may be on the verge of collapsing…but there is one important aspect we often neglect and seem to forget: in spite of how bad it may look, we are still alive!!

Listen, the breath of life is not a right. It’s a privilege. It’s a gift. No one does anything to earn the right to live on this earth. If that was the case some of the greatest people that ever lived would still be alive today, just because of what they accomplished in their lifetime.

No matter how ugly our situations may look, God was gracious enough to grant us one more day. Let’s be thankful and let’s strive to move forward.

One thing my personal life, experiences and especially motherhood has taught me, was to live in the moment and to take it one day at a time. Each new day is an opportunity to do better, to be greater and to reach higher.
Our Lord Jesus put it in the best words possible:

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. “ Matthew 6:25‭-‬34 ESV

Recently, God took me through the process of dismantling my trust system and made me realize that although I professed I was a believer, my trust was in the things I had and not in the One who blessed me with it. It wasn’t until I lost it all and almost lost my mind that I realized that I had been lying to myself. Was it painful? Yes! Was it necessary? Very much so! Trust me, I fought with all I got, I struggled with God to keep hold of “what was mine”. Yet, the more I fought, the more it slipped away. Until, I couldn’t fight anymore.

When God made me powerless, that’s when I realized where the true power lied. I learned the true meaning of trusting God with everything that is dear to me. I learned to go to Him first, to speak when He speaks, to move when He moves, and to fly when He flies. See, trusting God is simply like floating on water for swimmers. It only happens when you are able to fully relax and surrender.

This is why, as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus ( fully trusted Him), he could do the impossible and walk on water, but the moment he looked down, he started sinking.

What have we been holding on to and refusing to let go? What step have we been afraid to take? This month, I hear God simply say, ” Trust me…I got you”. He got your back, and just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, He may have been silent, but He will be right there with you in the fire. Do you know why? Simply because,
that’s where He has been all along. He was just waiting for you to trust Him enough to jump right in!

C’est reparti, un autre mois se termine et un nouveau commence. Pourtant, pour beaucoup d’entre nous, il semble que le temps s’est arrêté il ya des semaines, des mois, des années et qu’il refuse de bouger.

Nos enfants peuvent toujours être en danger, nos finances peuvent sembler encore très préoccupantes, nos mariages et nos entreprises peuvent être sur le point de s’effondrer… mais il y a un aspect important que nous négligeons souvent et que nous semblons oublier: malgré les apparences, nous sommes toujours en vie!

Le souffle de la vie n’est pas un droit. C’est un privilège. C’est un cadeau. Personne ne fait rien pour gagner le droit de vivre sur cette terre. Si tel était le cas, certaines des  personnes les plus influentes qui aient jamais existé seraient encore en vie aujourd’hui, du fait de ce qu’elles ont accompli de leur vivant.

Peu importe la gravité de nos situations, Dieu a eu la bonté de nous accorder un jour de plus. Soyons reconnaissants et efforçons-nous d’aller de l’avant.

Une chose que ma vie personnelle, mes expériences et plus particulièrement la maternité m’a appris, c’est de vivre le moment présent et de le vivre au jour le jour. Chaque nouvelle journée est une occasion de faire mieux, d’être plus grand et d’atteindre une dimension nouvelle.
Notre Seigneur Jésus le dit de la meilleure manière possible:

“C’est pourquoi je vous dis: Ne vous inquiétez pas pour votre vie de ce que vous mangerez, ni pour votre corps, de quoi vous serez vêtus. La vie n’est-elle pas plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que le vêtement?Regardez les oiseaux du ciel: ils ne sèment ni ne moissonnent, et ils n’amassent rien dans des greniers; et votre Père céleste les nourrit. Ne valez-vous pas beaucoup plus qu’eux? Qui de vous, par ses inquiétudes, peut ajouter une coudée à la durée de sa vie? Et pourquoi vous inquiéter au sujet du vêtement? Considérez comment croissent les lis des champs: ils ne travaillent ni ne filent;cependant je vous dis que Salomon même, dans toute sa gloire, n’a pas été vêtu comme l’un d’eux. Si Dieu revêt ainsi l’herbe des champs, qui existe aujourd’hui et qui demain sera jetée au four, ne vous vêtira-t-il pas à plus forte raison, gens de peu de foi? Ne vous inquiétez donc point, et ne dites pas: Que mangerons-nous? que boirons-nous? de quoi serons-nous vêtus? Car toutes ces choses, ce sont les païens qui les recherchent. Votre Père céleste sait que vous en avez besoin. Cherchez premièrement le royaume et la justice de Dieu; et toutes ces choses vous seront données par-dessus. Ne vous inquiétez donc pas du lendemain; car le lendemain aura soin de lui-même. A chaque jour suffit sa peine.” Matthieu 6, 25:34 LSG

Quand Dieu m’a rendu impuissante, c’est à ce moment-là que j’ai réalisé où se trouvait le vrai pouvoir. J’ai appris le vrai sens de faire confiance à Dieu avec tout ce qui m’est cher. J’ai appris à aller le voir en premier, parler quand il parle, bouger quand il bouge et voler quand il vole. Vous voyez, faire confiance à Dieu, c’est comme flotter sur l’eau pour les nageurs. Cela ne se produit que lorsque vous êtes capable de vous détendre complètement et de vous laisser-aller.

C’est pourquoi, tant que Pierre avait les yeux fixés sur Jésus (qu’il lui faisait entièrement confiance), il pouvait faire l’impossible et marcher sur l’eau, mais dès qu’il a baissé les yeux, il a commencé à couler.

Qu’avons-nous tenu fermement jusqu’à présent et refusé de laisser? Quel pas avons-nous refusé de faire? Ce mois-ci, j’entends Dieu dire simplement: “Fais moi confiance … je te tiens”. Il est notre support, tout comme avec Shadrach, Méschac et Abed-Nego, il se peut qu’il soit resté silencieux, mais il sera là avec vous dans le feu. Est-ce que vous savez pourquoi? Simplement parce que, c’est là qu’il a toujours été. Il attendait juste que vous lui fassiez suffisamment confiance pour le rejoindre!
