Mission Accomplished! Mission Accomplie!

If you have been a Christian for some time, you should be quite familiar with this expression: “Hold on to His Word”. We have heard it so many times that it may sound cliché.

We are told to believe, we are told to hold on, when our reality tells us otherwise. Our experiences can be very far from what the word of God promises. Scripture says:

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10‭-‬11 ESV

I was reflecting on my personal journey with God, when something suddenly hit me. The Holy Spirit brought to my mind the story of a young man who had been praying and doing all the necessary documentation for his wife to join him where he resided. Unfortunately, there was a lot of opposition and years were going by without the situation changing. Then, one day I remember attending a church conference with him, and a word was released about his wife joining him around the same time the following year. The interesting thing is, when the time came, the prophecy did not come to pass. The lady did eventually come in, but it was much later than it was prophecied.

So, I started wondering and asking God some questions. Listen, our God desires a relationship, and in every relationship, every now and then, we just need to sit down, ask the right questions and have a candid conversation about it. I asked God: Why are you bringing this story to mind right now? And the Holy Spirit said: Watch this story again, what do you see? Suddenly, it hit me: God spoke, it doesn’t matter what happened in between. It came to pass!

When God speaks, the word that is released is on a mission and that word can not go back to God with a report of failure. The word remains hanging in the atmosphere until what it carries becomes manifest. This is just like someone trying to serve you with legal documents, they will follow you everywhere until they can declare these words: you have been served!

God reminded me of this simple truth: once He speaks, unless He releases a counter word, it will surely come to pass. However, as recipients, we have the power to control the expiration date of that word. This is why in Timothy, we are told to wage a good war with the words of prophecy we have received. Opposition will surely come, we may make mistakes that will complicate the journey, we may miss strategic doors God will bring along the way for that word to become reality, yet, let’s not lose hope!

And the LORD answered me:

“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.

Habakkuk 2, 2-3, ESV

God is saying hold on to my Word. It’s on a mission and it cannot return until it can say to Me : Mission Accomplished. The enemy will try to make God a liar, but keep your feet deeply rooted in faith. He is the God of impossibilities! If He did it before, He can do it again!

Si vous avez été chrétien pendant un certain temps, vous devriez être assez familier avec cette expression: «Accroche-toi à sa parole». Nous l’avons entendu tant de fois que c’est devenu une routine, à la limite cliché.

On nous dit de croire, on nous dit de tenir le coup, quand notre réalité nous dit le contraire. Nos expériences sont souvent très loin de ce que la parole de Dieu promet. L’Écriture dit:

Comme la pluie et la neige descendent des cieux, Et n’y retournent pas Sans avoir arrosé, fécondé la terre, et fait germer les plantes, Sans avoir donné de la semence au semeur Et du pain à celui qui mange, Ainsi en est-il de ma parole, qui sort de ma bouche : Elle ne retourne point à moi sans effet, Sans avoir exécuté ma volonté Et accompli mes desseins.

Esaïe 55: 10-11 LSG

Je réfléchissais à mon voyage personnel avec Dieu, quand quelque chose me frappa soudainement. Le Saint-Esprit m’a rappelé l’histoire d’un jeune homme qui avait prié et fait tous les documents nécessaires pour que son épouse le rejoigne là où il résidait. Malheureusement, il y avait beaucoup d’opposition et les années passaient sans que la situation ne change. Puis un jour, je me souviens d’avoir assisté à une conférence de l’église avec lui, et une prophétie a été donnée au sujet de son épouse . La prophétie déclarait qu’elle le rejoindrait à la même période, l’année suivante. Le hic c’est qu’au moment venu, la prophétie ne s’est pas réalisée . l’épouse est finalement arrivée, mais bien plus tard.

Alors, j’ai commencé à poser des questions au Seigneur. Notre Dieu désire une relation, et dans chaque relation, nous devons pouvoir nous asseoir, poser les bonnes questions et avoir des conversations sur les sujets qui nous tiennent à coeur.

J’ai demandé à Dieu: Pourquoi m’as tu rappelé cette histoire ? Et le Saint-Esprit a répondu : Regarde à nouveau, que vois tu? Soudainement, j’ai compris: Dieu a parlé, peu importe ce qui s’est passé en chemin, la prophétie s’est finalement accomplie!

Quand Dieu parle, la parole qui est libérée a une mission et cette mission ne peut pas retourner à Dieu avec un rapport d’échec. La parole divine reste suspendue dans l’atmosphère jusqu’à ce qu’elle puisse se manifester. C’est comme si quelqu’un essayait de vous servir avec des documents légaux, il vous suivra partout jusqu’à ce qu’il puisse déclarer ces mots: vous avez été servi!

Dieu m’a rappelé cette simple vérité: une fois qu’Il parle, à moins qu’Il ne déclare une parole contradictoire , cela arrivera sûrement. Cependant, en tant que destinataires, nous en contrôlons la date d’expiration . C’est pourquoi, dans Timothée, il nous est dit de mener une bonne guerre avec les paroles de prophétie que nous avons reçues. L’opposition viendra sûrement, nous ferons des erreurs qui compliqueront le voyage, nous risquons de manquer des portes stratégiques que Dieu ouvrira pour que cette parole devienne réalité, mais ne perdons pas espoir!

L’Eternel m’adressa la parole, et il dit : Ecris la prophétie : Grave-la sur des tables, Afin qu’on la lise couramment. 3 Car c’est une prophétie dont le temps est déjà fixé, Elle marche vers son terme, et elle ne mentira pas; Si elle tarde, attends-la, Car elle s’accomplira, elle s’accomplira certainement. 4 Voici, son âme s’est enflée, elle n’est pas droite en lui; Mais le juste vivra par sa foi. Habakuk 2, 2-3, LSG

Dieu nous demande de nous accrocher à sa Parole. Elle a une mission et elle ne peut pas retourner au Père sans pouvoir dire: Mission Accomplie. L’ennemi essayera de faire de Dieu un menteur, mais gardez vos pieds profondément enracinés dans la foi. Il est le Dieu des impossibilités! S’il l’a fait avant, il peut le faire à nouveau!
